Well that was fun! Thanks to everyone who joined us.

As per yoozh, we kicked the evening off with a mini cocktail class led by ensemble member Brendan Hutt. Then we moved into the party, hosted by ensemble members, Kevin Sheehan and Meghann Tabor. It was great to see familiar faces and special guests as we struggled to remember obscure and not-so-obscure facts about Chicago. (How did we not all know all the answers? Haha!) It was a hoot. Best of all, a portion of the funds we raised for the evening went to Chicago Eco House florist, Southside Blooms. Chicago Eco House is a 501c3 non-profit whose mission is “to use sustainability to alleviate poverty.”

If you missed the Trivia Party but still want to support us, you can click here to do that. Thanks!

What. A. Year. As we bid a fond Good Riddance to 2020, we thought it would be a good time to engage in some old-fashioned, friendly competition with a Virtual Trivia Night. Thanks to everyone who joined us!

In addition to trivia, we celebrated Promethean’s 15th birthday with an ice cream sundae consumed by our own Jared Dennis. The catch? Guests got to pick the toppings! Attendees had the option to contribute small donations to add increasingly unique and occasionally gross toppings to Jared’s just desserts.

Ensemble member, Brendan Hutt created a custom-made cocktail called The OBP – that’s the Original Brian Pastor, doncha know. Want to make one yourself? Just click here for the cocktail ingredient list. Stir it up and join us in raising a glass to our OBP.

PAST EVENT

A developmental reading. A virtual event.

A discontented graphic designer finds himself caught between the desire to pursue a risky career as a surrealist painter, and the realities of becoming a father. Craving the freedom in his life that he lords over the canvas, he begins to experiment with the art of lucid dreaming, assuming conscious control of his dreams and living out his deepest fantasies. But as he descends ever deeper into the depths of his dream world, he begins to erase the border that separates dream from reality.

PAST EVENT

You know how, every year, Promethean returns to the Red Lion Pub to stage a short set of Shakespeare scenes – heartfelt, quirky and funny, centered around a common theme? Well no pubs this year. Sigh.

BUT THAT DIDN’T STOP US! Folks from all over the country tuned in to watch their favorite scenes reinterpreted through the lens of a computer camera and a global pandemic.

It was as highly polished as usual. That is to say, um, guests were invited to pour a drink and start the evening early.
